Acceptance Criteria for KGM 1-6 Days Borrowed Car Learner

To keep the number of questions that we ask to a minimum, we make certain assumptions as detailed below and must describe your circumstances correctly. These will form the basis of your insurance contract which may be invalid if you do not meet the eligibility criteria stated.

About the Driver

  • Are aged between 17 and 25, have been a UK resident for 12 months or more; and have a valid UK provisional licence
  • Have had NO accidents, claims or losses in the past 3 years
  • Have NO penalty points on their driving licence and they have not been disqualified from driving or had their licence revoked within the past 5 years
  • Do NOT reside in Northern Ireland
  • Are NOT Unemployed or Employed in the Entertainment Industry, a Professional Sports-Person or a Musician
  • Have NEVER had a motor insurance policy cancelled, made void or refused; or had a claim repudiated or declined
  • Have NEVER been convicted of any criminal offence or have a possible prosecution or police enquiry pending

About the Car

  • Is valued at less than £25,000, is right-hand drive with no more than 7 seats and has a current valid MOT certificate; and will be used for tuition purposes only
  • Is NOT owned or registered by you and IS insured under a separate insurance policy that will remain in force for the duration of the insurance contract
  • Has NOT been modified or altered in any way (including wheels, suspension, bodywork or engine) ~ cars modified to cater for a disabled driver or a disabled passenger are acceptable
  • Has NOT been seized or impounded and I am not buying insurance cover to obtain its release

About the Supervisor

  • Is aged 25 or over
  • Holds a full and valid UK driving licence for at least 3 years
  • Has been a UK resident for a minimum of 2 years
  • Does not have a DR coded motoring conviction (for Drink or Drugs offences) within the last 5 years
